Welcome to the FoodFiber.com Knowledge Database Library. The purpose of this site is to create a searchable database on food-fiber research publications, news releases and any other pertinent documents related to the production, processing and marketing of food and fiber products. Any subject from genetics to use of the processed product may be listed in this database.
Please give feedback as to the fields and categories. The semantics of the words are critically important, please help with keeping the flow as intuitive and seamless as possible. Remember the database will be searchable only as good as the information is entered.
To Publish
- There are several ways to list your publication in the database. Assuming you already have the document on the web, please have the exact URL address to copy when instructed in the listing process. Be sure to start with "http://www.myexactaddress.com/mydocument.html". This will work for most documents. If your document changes server location, please delete and post another link to your publication.
- For News Releases that are saved on your computer you may cut and paste the document into a form field title "Document Text - News Releases, Abstracts, short articles, etc.". (Some slight text formating changes may occur)
- For documents that need html coding you may choose to have us create the code for you by selecting "Upload a Document to be converted to HTML" on the new listing page.
Other Discussion
You may upload an image with the listing such as the symbol of your institution, etc. This same ability can be used to create a feature where growers, scientists, etc can also upload images for discussion directly from their computers.
