The Thomas Story:

Back in the early 1930's in rural North Carolina, about midway between the mountains and the sea, a family named Thomas was trying to raise a half dozen boys and one little girl.   This meant Mama Thomas, as she is affectionately called, had to be creative with her cooking, so she created lot's of recipes over the years.  These recipes and many more, like in most families, stayed within the family until decades later when one of these little boys decided to bring the family secrets out of the kitchen closet.  About Thomas Gourmet Foods We are best known for our Thomas Sauce, which was our first recipe.   Thomas Sauce is distinctive because it never takes over when used directly on your food. And when you blend it in, it won't leave your best recipes heavy-handed. So if you're a real gourmet, Thomas Sauce won't be beneath you.  And if you're just an ordinary cook, Thomas Sauce won't be over your head. Our labels bear the 1934 wedding pictures of Mama & Papa Thomas and tell a little story about the products and how they are best used.

Our family of products has grown over the years. We hope you have tried our Thomas Marinade, a delicate blend of soy sauce, canola oil, garlic and herbs and spices.  Our Thomas Dressing is our Thomas Sauce with olive oil, canola oil, balsamic vinegar and honey added.  Or, maybe you have had our Papa Thomas Bloody Mary Mix or Mama Thomas Marinara or Pasta Sauce.  Anyway, sooner or later we know you'll get to try them. We think you'll like them all. Our products are all natural like they used to be in the 30's and we are always looking to bring out more of those kitchen closet recipes. If you have been using our products and have some good recipes to share with us we'd love to hear from you and put them in the recipe brochure to share with others.  Or, write to us and we will send you our original recipes. Look for us in your favorite grocery, or call us at 1-800-TO-SAUCE. We appreciate your business. Enjoy!
