Q: What do I have to do to become a volunteer?
   A:
      1)Fill out an application
      2)Driving/Criminal Background check
      3)4 references
      4)3 hour training conducted by Mentor Coordinator

Q: Can anyone be a volunteer?
   A: No. Volunteers are screened through the application process in order to best meet the needs of the youth.

Q: How much time do I have to spend with a youth?
    A: Volunteers are encouraged to spend a minimum of 8 hours a month.

Q: If a volunteer should commit their time, how long until their term expires?
    A: Once the application process is complete and the volunteer has been paired with a youth; the commitment is for one year.

Q: What are some suggestions for spending time with my youth?
    A: It really depends on the individual match and relationship between the volunteer and the youth. Whatever seems to feel the most comfortable for them. Some of the most popular are:
  • shopping
  • skating
  • fishing
  • bowling
  • watching movies
  • visiting a museum or a festival
